Artur Gold (1897-1943), a pre-war Polish violinist and musician of Jewish origin. Brother of the famous Henryk Gold. Composed, played, conducted and arranged light music for his famous ensembles - in cabarets, theatres, on stage, radio and on numerous records. Author of many popular Polish hits. After the German and Soviet invasion on Poland in September 1939, he was forced into the newly erected Warsaw Ghetto in which he played with an orchestra.
