Halfway through Casey's pregnancy, she learned that her unborn son had a very rare, very serious heart defect. Untreated, the condition would be terminal. Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock teamed up with Children's Hospital Boston to provide the best care for Parker: prenatal and follow-up care at CHaD, and three open-heart surgeries at Children's to improve his health.
