Evgeny Kovtkov is a Russian POW in Ukraine. Somehow – who knows how? - it was arranged for his common-law wife Irina to come to Ukraine to be with him and stay there forever. Irina sold all her possessions and left Russia for Ukraine, obviously receiving Ukrainian help to get there as a Russian citizen. Her husband was clearly not impressed by her “feat” and not very happy to see his wife. His face and his refusal to speak say it all. What was supposed to be a propaganda video for Ukraine turned into something completely different. Even Evgeny’s mother wouldn’t cooperate and play along with the plot when she was called by the host of the TV show that this drama was unfolding on.
