1965 Plymouth Fury Commercial with Ken Venturi At Doris Day's Cabana Hotel, Dallas TX

Ken Venturi, a former car saleman had just come off his win at the Masters in 1964. He became a spokesperson for Plymouth. This commercial was filmed in Dallas Texas at Doris Day's Cabana Hotel. Doris Day owned several Hotels and this was her crown jewell The Beatles stayed here in their visit to Texas, it became the "in" spot in Dallas. Sadly, Day had to sell it off due to mis-management in 1968. The Hotel still exists today and is in or has just seen a complete renovations. It had a very Las Vegas quality to it, the fountains and grand lobby.
