Putting a new handle on my great grandpa's knife

Hallo there, this is a video showing how I put a new handle on my great grandpa's knife/repairing. I do not know the type of steel, seems to be a good steel though. Nice patina. The handle scales are oak. My grandpa gave it to me and asked what I could do to fix it. It's been sitting in a old tackle box for many years, time to give it some new life. It's been a while, I know. I fractured my finger and it is getting much colder so I may not upload any video about making something until maybe March or when th
