Hydrophone in an Electric Kettle

Experiment with a CTACT Capsule contact microphone molded into a polyurethane sphere and placed in an electric kettle. The CTACT Capsule has an integrated JFET preamp which helps reduce the electromagnetic noise from the kettle. I imagine the heating of the piezo element and preamp contribute to the evolving character of the sound.
