Drunk revellers scuffled with police when hundreds of Japanese 20-year-olds attended the Coming of Age Day celebration ceremony in Okinawa's Naha district, Japan, on Sunday. Young kimono-dressed men and women were invited to the Shuri Junior High School, where officials held speeches on the meaning of adulthood. On their way to the ceremony, some reportedly drunk new adults scuffled with the police: as shouting youngsters brought a car onto Kokusai Dori street, the city's main artery, the police physically confronted the crowd in order to quell and disperse it.
