GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Canadiens | Crosby Earns Three Points

In their final game before heading to western Canada, the Penguins were hoping to increase their winning streak to six games. Montreal, and specifically goaltender Jake Allen, had other ideas. At the conclusion of the opening period, Pittsburgh was already outshooting Montreal, 14-8, but there were no goals to be found amongst those shots. Montreal broke through first, with Drouin scoring with under five minutes remaining in the middle frame. The black and gold would lead the bleu, blanc, et rouge, 31-21, in shots in the 2nd. Finally, in the 3rd period, Pittsburgh found the back of the net. Evan Rodrigues continued his fantastic play and was rewarded with a power-play goal. Dvorak re-claimed the lead for the Canadiens just 32 seconds later, and then Lehkonen added one more to make it 3-1 for the visitors. Then, things got kind of crazy.
