Man Charged with Rape and Murder of Family Friend's 1-Year-Old Daughter

An Indiana man arrested in connection with the killing of a 15-month-old girl found dead after she vanished from her father's home has been charged with the child's rape and murder, officials said. Kyle Parker, 22, pleaded not guilty to charges including murder, rape, child molesting, kidnapping, aggravated battery and strangulation. Shaylyn Ammerman's body was found in a remote area about nine miles from her father's home. She had last been by her grandmother who checked on her as she slept.
