Johnny Dodds was probably the most powerful clarinet player in the history of recorded jazz, here he is in Chicago in 1928 with his usual gang - Natty Dominique and Gearge Mitchell cornets, John Thomas on trombone, Charlie Alexander piano, Bud Scott banjo and Baby Dodds drums. A real good thumping stomp this one. The key changes so perfect also.
