Titles read: "TAMING JUNGLE KINGS". Rochester, Indiana, United States of America. Various shots of wild animal trainer Clyde Beatty working with a whip and chair to make numerous lions and tigers sit on plinths in a cage. An assistant stands outside the cage with a whip in case of trouble. A tiger is made to roll over and spins round several times at a terrific speed, presumably on the orders of Beatty. Crowds of people watch from the other side of the round cage. The final shot seems to show the animals leaping down from their positions as Beatty cracks his whip - looks a bit panicked! Cataloguer's note: this could be seen as cruel or degrading to animals. FILM A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
