"Roadracers" - Dude And Johnny

This is the music I wrote for two scenes back-to-back, one cutting to the other. Dude has just narrowly avoided a knife fight in the diner when, on his way out, he spots Johnny in a booth. The music starts in minor as Dude approaches Johnny. Johnny’s guitarist has just quit the band and Johnny invites Dude to fill in at the club and maybe go on tour with the band “if things work out.” Dude gets excited and as he walks out the door the scene cuts to Dude’s front yard where he and Nixer are discussing the exciting news. The music switches to major and the drums and bass come in. Nixer plays mumbly peg while Dude tells him about his conversation with Johnny. The music on this one is all me - guitar, bass programming and drum programming. The bass and drums were done on my Alesis MMT-8 and Roland JV-80. I used my Fender Stratocaster but I don’t remember what amp. This is one I definitely wrote to the scene, i.e., I worked out the timing, tempo, key change and more, exactly as the scene unfolded.
