RESIDENTS in Mariupol are picking up the pieces as large-scale clearance and reconstruction work is underway in the war-stricken city after brutal Russian attacks. For the mass of buildings which have been left extensively damaged during brutal fighting, the city has organized teams of workers to clear debris and help residents dig out as many personal items as possible. Bus services have slowly resumed while operations at a water processing factory have been restored as work to repair a local power plant is ongoing. The first group of supermarkets have re-opened to the public in a limited capacity, allowing only 10 customers to enter at one time.
