Winter's Tail

Trainers from Clearwater Marine Aquarium (a marine animal rescue center in Florida), use physical therapy with Winter the dolphin. Massaging her peduncle area and putting her tail on to observe how she swims with it and to help her build muscles in her back. Winter stars in the movie "Dolphin Tale" - a movie inspired by her amazing story. Winter lost her tail after an injury from being tangled in crab trap lines as a baby dolphin calf, a prosthesis was created for her. She can swim without it but they use it to help build the muscles in her peduncle.
