La Troupe Makandal dedicated a program to Èzili Freda Dawome, a Vodou spirit of romantic love, on Valentine's Day 1992 at Columbia University's Miller Theater, Manhattan. This excerpt from the program features the late singer Lucienne Pierre, aka Manbo Lucienne, known for many years on stage and in the Vodou temples of Haiti. Manbo Lucienne performs a potpourri including songs for Èzili.
