Denny Laine - Holly Days (1977) In the Highlands of Scotland, there's a wood-lined, tin-roofed shack, known as Rude Studios. Here, Denny Laine and Paul McCartney got together to record some Buddy Holly On the four-track recorder, Paul laid down the basic tracks, overdubbing each instrument himself. Denny and Linda added a few licks, and all three joined in on the Denny singing lead, and Paul and Linda harmonising. Keeping it simple, they tried to recapture the spirit of the original recordings by recalling, in moments of madness, their own sweet Holly Days. 'Holly Days' was produced by Paul McCartney Photographs by Linda McCartney This album consists of monophonic recordings, electronically reprocessed to give a stereo effect on stereo equipment. 01.
