Two early films from the Master of Suspense populate this compilation disc. In Blackmail (1929) -- the director's first talkie -- the illicit tryst of a young woman (Anny Ondra) leads to a sexual assault, blackmail and, eventually, murder. The silent melodrama Easy Virtue (1927) chronicles the life of a young divorcée (Isabel Jeans) who tries to start over in France with a new name but finds she can't escape the taint of scandal.
