Various shots of Mayfair dress designer and anthropometrist Captain Phillip Kunick measuring various parts of a blonde girl in a shiny swimsuit with a large, caliper-type instrument. The blonde is Miss Britain of 1952, Lillemore Knudson. Kunick is demonstrating his own measuring technique that was used in a recent official survey of 5,000 British women. Lillemore has (greasepaint?) pencil marks all over her where she is to be measured from and to. Two women sit at a desk; one is in a white coat and is seen taking notes, the other looks like a model. Lillemore's arms, thighs, neck and bust are measured, then her waist and hips. We are told that her hips are 37 1/2 inches and her waist 23 1/2, but her rather hefty bust is not mentioned. M/S of Lillemore walking into shot wearing a pretty, summery dress.
