JANE AUSTEN ROAD TRIP (PART 1)// Hello lovely people, We're so excited to walk in the shoes of Jane Austen today and share a little Jane Austen road trip in Hampshire with you. We visit places like Steventon where she was born and grew up. Her father was rector at St. Nicholas church and we were so lucky that the church was open! It's such a beautiful place! After that we visited Deane where her father was rector at All Saints Church and where you will find Deane House, a beautiful country house where Jane visited often to see her friends, the Harwoods. We will also share the tiny village of Ashe where the Austens became friends with the Lefroy family who moved into the rectory there. It was Madam Lefroy who inspired Jane to write. The highlight is our visit to Chawton House where her brother Edward lived and where Jane would go whenever he was there. She lived at Chawton Cottage with her mother and sister Cassandra.
