Wrestling is homoerotic and is the closest two guys can get to each other without having gay sex. Despite the sport having gay roots in history, there has always been homophobia in wrestling. History shows us that the sport has always been a favorite of gay men - even as far back as 7000BC. WWE, college wrestling, Turkish Oil wrestling, mud wrestling, Kushti and even homiesexual wrestling all derive from the ancient naked wrestling from ancient Greece that was mostly played by gay wrestlers in the nude. This video aims to break down why professional wrestling is considered to be predominantly a sport for gay audiences. It looks at the history of professional wrestling, the acceptance of LGBTQ+ wrestling personalities, and the way wrestling television shows portray gender roles and LGBTQ+ representation. It seeks to make a case for why wrestling can be a sport for all genders, orientations, and orientations, and explores the idea that wrestling can be a safe space for LGBTQ+ fans.
