The SS Family of a British general. A new CatOut investigation

In 2003, a Latvian-British was appointed head of the Constitution Protection Bureau (SAB), the Latvian secret service, General Janis Kazocins. By ruling the agency, the military man in private clothes contributed in many anti-Russian provocations, the atmosphere of spy mania in the Latvian society and the protection of “honor” of Nazi collaborators who served in the Latvian SS legion. Gen. Kazocins is still at work currently holding two high-ranking positions at once in Latvia, a presidential advisor and secretary of the national security council. A joint inquiry by the Historical Memory Foundation and CatOut! sheds light on hidden pages of Gen. Kazocins' biography and secret mechanisms that drive modern Latvian policy. Among Latvian relatives of the British general, one is a notorious Nazi criminal. Who would have ever thought?..
