Jack praises Mr. Welk but insists anyone (in particular himself) can lead an orchestra-the results of his attempt to do so are browbeats Lawrence into orchestrating his song "When you appologize I'll come back to you" "When the swallows return to Capistrano" which ends up as a polka!
