Gynecologic Emergencies Lecture

After students complete this lesson and the related course work, they will understand the anatomy and physiology, including the developmental changes during puberty and menopause, of the female reproductive system and identify and describe assessment and treatment for gynecologic emergencies. Special considerations and precautions that an EMT must observe when arriving at the scene of a suspected case of sexual assault or rape are also discussed.
