Yellow Shell Ginger It is a perennial and will grow all year long. I call it the "one and done" you plant it once because it will grow 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide if grown in the garden. But it can grow anywhere up to 12 feet tall. your ginger will grow fast under the right conditions and expect it to live for around 20 years. And will bear flute shaped flowers but only after the second year of growth. It will grow best in rich medium - wet well drained soil. Keep the soil your ginger in evenly moist - not wet.
