Van Halen "Fools" @ Piper Club Rome Italy 1980

Van Halen live in Rome, Italy @ The Piper Club 21 May 1980. This video was performed for a TV show (“Superstar” Rai2 TV program) aired on 04 Sept 1980 during the sixth episode. They played also “You Really Got Me” for this lip-sync performances. Eddie Van Halen plays the dragon-snake guitar (very rare). In a subsequent video Dave jumps and hits his nose on a low-hanging mirror ball over the stage. A 3 foot ball of light was lowered over the stage on the darkened television studio. DLR, unaware of this, made one of his famous leaps, crashing into the light fixture resulting in his nose being broken in two places multiple contusion and a possible concussion. This had them cancel the next 2 shows until 5 days later on 5/26 at Pinkpop where Dave’s nose is taped up. In memory of Edward Van Halen, one year without you - we miss you. (Van Halen italian fans)
